Round Summit

Start Point: Meix Musy, on the heights of Morteau

For lovers of wide open spaces and silence.

Departing from the Meix-Musy alpine ski resort, you leave the hustle and bustle of the resort behind and gradually reach unspoiled nature along the edge of a field. Listen to the silence, broken only by the songs of birds that find refuge in the hedges that line the route. Then dive into a valley below and continue to Prélot, with a beautiful view of Chasseral (Switzerland). The return to the resort is via a beautiful route that crosses large snow-covered expanses.

strong point : the view of Chasseral, a peaceful circuit away from the ski slopes. 80% of the circuit is in meadows, ideal for enjoying the sun.

Different services at the start : rental, refreshment bar, catering, picnic room and first aid station.

Le Châteleu

Distance: 3 km
Difficulty : easy
Start Point: Old Châteleu Farm, in the commune of Grand'Combe-Châteleu

In search of height

An incredible view that is well worth it!!!! This route does require good physical condition as the elevation gain is quite significant, but it does not include any technical sections. The reward is at the Chateleu Dome with a view of the Alps, the Brévine Valley and, on the French side, the village of Les Gras and its surroundings.

Possibility of eating at the Auberge du Vieux Chateleu (departure point), an authentic place in our Jura mountains.

The Meix Lagor

Distance: 3,5 km
Difficulty : easy
Start Point: Meix Lagor Parking

Ideal circuit for families, very little elevation gain and no technical passages.

Highlights : passage on the Vion Billard ridge with magnificent viewpoints. Alternating passages through forests and meadows.

To do more, you can always extend your outing by 3,6 km with the Gardot circuit.
At Gardot you will find various services: a picnic room, equipment rental, a refreshment bar and a first aid station.

The Few and The Ashen

Distance: 8 km

Start Point: Combe Saint-Pierre, in the commune of Charquemont

Are you looking for a good snowshoe hike? A chance to get your jersey wet despite the winter and still have your legs full of energy at the end? 

So opt for a loop that combines 2 snowshoe hikes, No. 10 Le Peu and No. 20 La Cendrée. It's true that it's quite a climb at the start, but it's worth it! Once you reach the heights, you feel like you've changed places, the view is beautiful and clear, it's a real treat, a great reward. First on the French side, then on the Swiss side, you have the view from both sides. The rest becomes more intimate when you pass through the narrow path lined with spruce trees, there's a little something magical and so pleasant.

This loop combines two marked trails, so you should continue towards La Cendrée (straight ahead at the intersection). There, you can enjoy another stop to admire the view of the Doubs Valley... and to have a drink, or eat a small snack that you will have taken in your backpack. Your hike ends in the Bois des Rachottes, an immense forest of snow-covered fir trees where you can appreciate the peace and serenity of the place.

After that we deserved a hot chocolate and a piece of house cake!

The little walk we never tire of!

Accessible and easy. Ideal for those looking to discover snowshoeing. The large parking lot at the village hall allows for a stress-free start. Then head uphill, enjoying the view throughout the climb, which is truly enjoyable. Once you reach the highest point, you have a beautiful view of Switzerland. A very pleasant little trail to discover in the heart of Russey.
