Two rivers crisscross the Pays Horloger, but only one is suitable for canoeing. It is on the Doubs that it is possible to navigate. The profile of this river is very changeable, sometimes wide and calm, sometimes narrow and enclosed between cliffs.

The Doubs and its meanders which wind through the Valley lend themselves to the practice canoeing and paddleboarding. From the site of the Nautical at the entrance to the city of Morteau, a nautical base allows the rental of equipment.

From the Chaillexon site, the river becomes wide and deep, you will navigate in the Doubs basins, a magnificent site bordered by high cliffs. The water there is calm like a lake.
To the Chaillexon nautical base, you will find rentals of canoeing and paddleboarding for a round trip towards the landing stage which then allows you to go and see the Saut du Doubs (on foot).
In the Doubs Valley, sail on the Franco-Swiss waters. Embark from the Seignottes site, for a nice route with some white water sections.
La canoe rental is possible until 12:30 p.m. due to Franco-Swiss navigation regulations.

Two nautical trails upstream from Saint-Hippolyte allow a beautiful discovery of the valley. These descents by reservation, are accompanied, so you can benefit from good advice and sail safely. In summer, departing from -> Soulce Cernay or from -> Bremoncourt.
