Let's introduce ourselves and tell you a little more about our respective missions! As a bonus, we'll share our small, easy-to-repeat eco-friendly actions for the good of our planet!

Angélique

Angelique is our information and observatory referentHer nickname is DD, for Décibelles Data, the regional database that holds no secrets for her and that many of her peers envy us! At reception, she will whisper to you her secret spots, which she explores during her oxygenating walks with Ranger, her faithful companion.

Angélique's little eco-responsible gesture : For over 10 years, I've been buying free-range chicken from France. It's important to promote French agriculture and avoid battery farms that don't respect animal welfare standards. The eggs I used to buy also came from free-range hens, and now they come from my neighbor. There's no shorter supply chain!

Elise

Elise is the expert in communication ! An artist at heart, she loves playing with images, colors and texts. She makes the destination shine through the website et our editions which she enriches with lovely thematic articles. Sporty, she crisscrosses the Pays Horloger on foot or by mountain bike, always accompanied by your camera.

Elise's little eco-friendly tip : Goodbye window shopping and temptations, welcome to the pleasure and healthy satisfaction of sensible purchasing. "Do I really need it?" This question allows you to get rid of the superfluous, it is synonymous with comfort and well-being. Not buying something you don't really need is like sorting out your wardrobe; you can see things more clearly afterwards!

Julie

Julie is the longest serving member of the team…she is the office’s memory!!! In charge of partner relations, she creates a link between you and us. Within the team, she is an attentive and efficient colleague. She has a sweet tooth who loves, more than the house cake... cookies in all their variations!

Julie's little eco-responsible gesture : For several years now, we have adopted chickens for several reasons. This new pet, appreciated for its affectionate and attentive side, is easy to raise and brings a touch of nature to our exterior by playing an ecological role by reducing our organic waste, all while thanking us with good fresh eggs. Our henhouse has a hatch that communicates with the neighbors, who can also donate their biowaste and the neighbors in the neighborhood do the same.

Suzy

Suzy aka Saugette, is our Communications Officer to our service providers and institutions. Before winter and before summer, during its documentary tour, she makes sure that you are well-stocked with documentation to inform your visitors! Suzy is a true globetrotter at heart!

Suzy's little eco-responsible gesture : Making your own household products is the guarantee of knowing exactly what's in them, unlike commercial products, which are often controversial. You don't need to be a great chemist to make them: there are many simple recipes online! Better for your health, effective, ecological and economical, take the plunge like me!

Martine

Martine, nicknamed the teacher, is our oldest member. She will accompany you for the tourist tax. Also in charge of welcome drinks and Team animations In collaboration with our partners, you will surely meet her on this occasion. With a smile, Martine is a pleasant colleague, always ready to make us laugh for our greatest pleasure!

Martine's little eco-responsible gesture : I don't buy detergent, soap, shower gel in bottles (or as little as possible), I buy refills and fill my containers...I could do even better by going directly to the store to fill my containers which would avoid having to fill up multiple pockets...there you go, it's still very modest, but it's slowly becoming part of my daily life!

Lea

Smiling, cheerful, and always ready to go, Léa is a colleague who gives you energy! Tickets, sales products, suppliers, and memberships are all under her management. Working closely with the director, Léa manages the associative life of the structure et assists Frederique in the administrative and accounting tasks.

Léa's little eco-responsible gesture : To limit your electricity consumption, there are plenty of little tips you can implement right now! For example, I avoid turning on the heating and I add a few layers of clothing. I always remember to turn off lights and electronic devices when I'm not using them and to unplug sockets when I'm not using them!

CT_version_Pnr_OTPH

The Tourist Office of Pays Horloger was created in spring 2017, following the merger of the Val de Morteau, from Saint-Hippolyte, the Plateaux de Maiche and Russey.

This association under the 1901 law, whose headquarters are based in Russey, has 4 tourist offices: Morteau and Maiche are open year-round, and Saint-Hippolyte is open seasonally only. Following the fire at the Maison de la Presse in early January 2023, the seasonal office in Villers-le-Lac is closed until further notice. It also manages two information points, located at the Maison des Services du Russey and in Goumois.

North entrance gate of the Montagnes du Jura, the destination Pays Horloger is a rural territory, bordering Switzerland. It is made up of 68 municipalities, fully integrated into the Doubs Horloger Regional Natural Park.

The tourist office is classified in category 2

The missions of the tourist office

The tourist office is a tourism promotion organization that helps facilitate tourism consumption at the destination. In accordance with the Tourism Code and by delegation of authority, the missions entrusted are: welcoming and providing information to tourists, promoting the area in cooperation with the Departmental Committee and the Regional Tourism Committee, and the coordination of the interventions of the various partners in local tourism development. In addition to these sovereign missions, there are tacitly added cross-functional missions, such as the establishment of a local tourism observatory and a quality approach.

Composition of the tourist office of Pays Horloger

Focus on the Office and Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is composed of 28 members distributed as follows:
• 12 in the College of members by right,
• 16 in the College of Tourism Professionals, association representatives and volunteers.

The Board of Directors elects an Office composed of a President, two Vice-Presidents, a Secretary, a Treasurer and an Assistant Treasurer and a representative of each Community of Communes.

The members of the Council offer a good representation of the territory of the Pays Horloger as well as various professional tourism activities (accommodation providers, activity providers, traders, regional producers, restaurateurs).

What are boards of directors? These are important moments for the association because the members of the Council take part in the life of the tourist office. They propose the main orientations, validate the broad lines of action of the structure, and establish the budgets and accounts of the association. Also, the representativeness of socio-professionals is important to be able to be as close as possible to their expectations.

The association's meeting times

The annual meeting from the Tourist Office of Pays Horloger 2023 : THE big festive and social moment of the year!

On this occasion, we wanted to create a welcoming, friendly and unifying moment for our partners by offering several times for exchanges, meetings and entertainment.

The proof in pictures ...

An original encounter. What is it?

A moment for tourism stakeholders where meetings and good humor are on the agenda. A special moment, far from traditional meeting rooms, to share our convictions on tourism that values local and human values, based on attention and real encounters with proud local enthusiasts. This year, we had the chance to share the good humor, the benevolent energy, and the concrete ideas of Pierre Eloy, a French-speaking expert in human, eco-positive, and local tourism, who came to talk to us about hospitality!
