I am filled with immense joy when I go into my garden.
I arrived in the Bonnétage region 8 years ago, in a family home that my husband and I had renovated. We settled up there for retirement. On this farm, There are many memories and I really like it there. When I arrived here, in this territory, I was very, very well received. There is a human warmth, there is a great sharing of people. For me, it was very important in times that were more or less complicated. But I felt this human warmth and a lot of kindness.
From the farm where I live, we have a magnificent view on the Franches Montagnes, on the Pays HorlogerI love this beautiful nature that surrounds us. In the morning when I get up, I first go to my garden. This passion for flowers, for this nature, is anchored in me. I am filled with immense joy when I go to my garden. I observe and I have the impression that each day is new. I really like mornings, it's like a new story that arrives in the house. There is also a place on my farm where I see the sun rising through the fir trees, with this impression that they are reflected in the windows. It is a truly wonderful moment.
In each room, you feel like you are reliving history.
I have been a member of the Eco'lette association for three years. It's a place that is filled with hope where we revive a spirit of conviviality in a heritage that remains to be preserved. Every week, events are organized there, such as concerts, pancakes, conferences but it is also possible to come and have a coffee, an aperitif or even taste a platter with local products. We volunteers welcome each person with a smile and lots of love what is most important to me.
In every room of this cafe, one has the feeling of relive history, that of Colette and Marguerite who shared unique moments with the people they served and nourished with their joys and good humor.
Every person who enters the café, this magical, simple, and friendly place, leaves with a smile and a desire to return. Thank you, eco'lette, for giving me such magical moments.

This place is a courthouse that was built in 1527, located right next to the Bizot church. This is where justice was administered by the Lord of Réaumont.
In this house of justice, Colette Humbert ran the café until 2015, then it was her daughter who took over the café, Marguerite. She died suddenly and so it is the association L'Eco'lette, created 4 years ago now, which now runs the café. It was created to preserve this place, to continue to keep the cafe alive and continue what Colette was doing. To welcome people, clients and then meet up for a drink, so that this friendliness in the village of Bizot lasts and endures. There was the telephone booth here so it was the meeting place and then there was always something to eat at Colette's. There was always a little something to nibble on, she made Rösti with ham and sausage... That's why the association was created, to keep this café going, so that people can come back to this place which is GENUINE, magnificent, with all these rooms that have remained as they were originally, with these Renaissance fireplaces, these small windows that are splendid. It is a marvelous place.

The first time I came here, in Pays Horloger, I had gone to see some of my husband's cousins at Bélieu. We had to go through the stables to get to the kitchen at the back. When I arrived at their house, I was a new kidThey offered me the salad they had picked from the garden with some ham they had picked from the tuyé. I didn't know much about tuyé. I was still young at the time. There was some comté cheese too.
It was a magnificent meal. There was a large table. We ate ham salad and Comté cheese. She had made a household cake. She always had some left over, in fact. And then they made bread in their bread oven. They would say to me, "Have some more, have some more." It was a superb moment of sharing actually. I was surprised by thespontaneous welcome. I remember, it was moving because I didn't know. This sharing, it was so powerful. It's a wonderful memory. It's worthy of the Pays Horloger in fact.

The thing that really matters to me is that we can welcome a lot of people to L'Eco'lette, as we do now. Because we have need to find oneself in friendly places, like this one, or even other places that are strong in excursions, in hikes that we can do around Bizot, around all these small villages that are so beautiful. Do not hesitate to come to the Pays Horloger, because we can't do without it Pays Horloger. It's so beautiful, it's so warm, welcoming. And then there is so much love that is given to us.
It's a mission I have, I believe. I couldn't do without giving it.
"You know, when you were born, it felt like a ray of sunshine was coming," my dad told me. And then my husband used to tell me all the time, stay as you are. I have always been spontaneous, sparkling. I love life so much because life gives me back. The ordeal I went through was very, very hard. It was an ordeal that happened so quickly. At L'Eco'lette, they helped me a lot in my distress, I can only thank them for what they did for me. I wanted keep this sun in my heart To pass on all that we have to give back, all this love, we must give back a lot of love. It's a mission that I have, I believe. I couldn't do without giving it. As long as I'm here. A very long time, I hope. I really hope so with all my heart.
