L'Eco'lette is an association that has invested in an emblematic place of the Pays Horloger, the former Maison de Justice du Bizot. The building is composed of two parts: the Maison de Justice, dating from 1527, and its adjoining barn with a framework dating from the 17th century. A courthouse until the revolution, now and for more than 100 years, this house has hosted a village café where locals and passers-by like to meet to drink and eat. The architecture of the Maison de Justice stands out from the traditional Franche-Comté farms of the Pays Horloger and allows us to return to a distant past when our ancestors settled on our territory. You probably all know this house if you have seen the film Monsieur Batignole, since the café scene was filmed here! The 16th century part of the house is listed as a historical monument. The house belongs to the association L'éco'lette which has (re)made it into an eco-citizen café and offers a cultural activity throughout the year.
The establishment offers guided tours.
