To access this viewpoint you have to earn it! short walk of about half an hour, but if you take your time you can get there!
From the place called Les Essarts Cuenot where you park your car, you go down a white path (no cars allowed) then it's time for the little climb on the path that goes off to the right towards the ruins of the chapel of Les Essarts Cuenot. Don't forget to stop there for a moment! A few minutes later, you can settle down on large stones or wooden logs.
In autumn this viewpoint offers us a view of the Doubs valley with its beautiful flamboyant colors. Ideal for a picnic in the sun or for a little fondue for the brave who have brought their own equipment!
But in fact, Why the Old Females lookout? : The smugglers' wives would stand here to signal to their husbands and warn them of the presence of the Gabelous (customs officers).
Access from Damprichard towards Charmauvillers then Les Essarts Cuenot. Also located on hiking trail no. 82, “Les Charbonnières”.

The picnic spot where you arrive and say: "Wow!" You will access this spot via Mont de Laval. It is a small road that goes down there, passable by car but be very careful: it is steep and very narrow. You will then walk 10 minutes to reach the Chauve Roche lookout point. And there it is wow! You will dominate the Valley of Consolation, the Roche du Prêtre belvedere on your left, the view is just incredible ! There's a bench, but don't forget to bring a blanket and enjoy the view. Be careful, this lookout is on the edge of the void and is not protected! Be careful!
Access: From Mont de Laval, by car, then 10 min on foot.

To admire the Cirque de Consolation and the Dessoubre Valley, take to the skies! We'll meet you at Priest Rock lookout point...
Easily accessible, this rocky promontory will immerse you in a setting of wild nature as far as the eye can see. Beneath your feet, a "reculée", that is to say a large indentation in a limestone massif and cliffs of more than 300 meters... are you ready to be amazed?
A picnic table is available.
The site's little extra: There is a lot of wildlife there... chamois, peregrine falcon, raven... will you be lucky enough to see them?
Access: By car from D41 and D461 between Le Luhier and Fuans. From the car park, it's just a 5-minute walk.

Un picnic spot for hikers. To reach this spot, a quiet field sheltered from the wind, you will have to climb and swallow a few meters of altitude difference. But nothing like it to work up an appetite. On the route of hike 73 "Grotte de la Roche" from Saint-Hippolyte, after passages in the forest, towards the waterfall, you leave the woods and gain height to reach the Chamesol plateau. It is there, after 4 km of walking, halfway through the hike, that you can settle down for a picnic, in a friendly, no-nonsense manner, on the ground. What a pleasure lying in the grass to eat a little comté cheese and dry sausage to to get a good laugh, yes you deserve it! The sloping field is sheltered from the wind, the small lodge in the meadow gives charm to the place, it's nice there.

Access: Follow the yellow and blue markings for the Roche Cave hike, no. 73, signposted on the Town Hall Square, towards the Tourist Office. Park in the car park behind the Post Office.
