Coming from a long tradition of trade and meeting, fairs are still organized, once a month in the largest municipalities of Pays Horloger. If the exhibitors' stalls have changed, there remains a moment of sharing, elevated to the rank of institution in restaurants in the area. These are the double fat and calf's head.
On fair days, it is best to book your table; many restaurants offer a special “fair” menu and are quickly popular to come and taste the double fats and calf’s head.
Maize:
The fair takes place on the third Thursday of each month from 9:00 a.m. on Place de la Rasse.
Morteau :
The fair of Morteau takes place every first Tuesday of the month on the Champ de Foire square.
While large cities have managed to maintain their markets, this is less the case in our rural communities. However, some markets are offered by a few producers, and some wonderful initiatives are emerging.
Maiche :
Saturday mornings on the Town Hall Square from May to October, from 8 a.m. to 13 p.m. Up to ten merchants are present.
Morteau :
Tuesday and Saturday mornings (except during the winter) on the Town Hall Square (flowers, fruits and vegetables).

To brighten up the pleasant end of summer days, when the temperature slowly drops and we happily put our noses outside to wander, the tourist office organizes night markets, from 17 p.m. to 22 p.m., where we find local crafts and local products, as well as something to quench your thirst and snack on.
These markets are organized in partnership with the host municipalities. Market locations change regularly from year to year.
In order to enhance the local production, whether artisanal or gastronomic, the exhibitors in the sector, all professionals, offer for sale only the products from their crafts.
