Actions aimed at the public

Who are they? What are they looking for? How does the tourist office meet their needs?

Our visitors in brief

Their origin

And no, tourist office doesn’t necessarily rhyme with tourists… We also receive requests from locals! More than half of our visitors come from the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and among them, around 80% are residents of Pays Horloger.

Then there are the inhabitants of the Grand-Est region, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Île-de-France. On the foreign side, it is the Swiss, Germans, Belgians and the Dutch who come to stay in Pays Horloger.

Their main demands

Of course their requests vary, but the most common are:

  • Hiking
  • Festivals and events
  • Boutique services (e.g. Swiss motorway sticker)
  • Cultural and leisure activities
  • Accommodations

They contact us…

In our offices

A Maiche, Morteau or, Saint-Hippolyte !

This is an opportunity for visitors to chat with us face-to-face, share our tips and provide them with all the documents that will be useful for their stay!

To best advise our visitors, we have a wall-mounted tourist map of the Pays Horloger : a very popular tool for both travel advisors and the public! Our publications are also very popular, such as our seasonal guide, local products guide or even our flyers for the Echelles de la Mort and the Saut du Doubs. Not forgetting the'calendar of events', printed monthly and weekly during the summer.

Outside the walls

During our traditional welcome drinks, in summer or even in winter! Always accompanied by a delicious tasting of our local products: a great moment of exchange between locals and visitors!

But we also travel to local events or trade fairs to promote our beautiful destination...
