It is the 4th in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and the 57th in France.
This territory brings together 94 municipalities, from 6 communities of municipalities, spread over five areas characterized by their relief: the Doubs and Dessoubre Valleys, the Val de Morteau, the first plateaus of Sancey-Belleherbe and Val de Vennes, as well as the plateaus of Maîche and Russey.

29 natural sites registered and classified.
An impressive variety of landscapes characterizes the Doubs Horloger Regional Natural Park, with wooded valleys, open plateaus, peaceful rivers, gushing springs, and karst reliefs.
The meadows, the peat bogs, the forests… are occupied by a floral and faunal richness recognized as the Red Kite, Peregrine Falcon, Eurasian Lynx, Rhone Apron and Sundew.
A natural wealth to discover, particularly through unmissable sites such as the Ladders of Death, le Leap of the Doubs or Consolation Circus.
Cradle of the Montbéliarde cow and Comtois horse, the agricultural character of the region allows the production of flagship and recognized specialties such as Comté, Mont d'Or and sausage from Morteau.
An astonishing architectural heritage with the Comtois farms and their pipes.
A very distinctive intangible heritage. Appearing in the 18th century as a complementary activity for local artisans and farmers, watchmaking is still strongly represented and constitutes the showcase of the local economy, internationally famous. The watchmaking know-how is recognized by UNESCO, which includes the know-how in watchmaking and artistic mechanics on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
This diversity, which is the identity of the Doubs Horloger Regional Natural Park, invites visitors and locals to explore unmissable natural sites, to taste the gastronomy, to learn from the artisans about local know-how and culture... On foot, by bike, on skis, by canoe... set off to discover the Doubs Horloger Regional Natural Park!
